Mr. Peter Gadsden, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 22, 
2001, he is the beloved father of Annette Gadsden and grandfather of 
Nadine Gadsden, both of Jersey City, NJ, special friend of Ms. Jestine 
Criswell, Ladson, SC, brother of Mr. Edward Gadsden, Moses Gadsden, 
Michael Gadsden, Wesley Gadsden, Jr., all of Jersey City, NJ, 
Christopher Gadsden, Charleston, SC, Martha Locklear, Freehold, NJ, 
Margie Magwood, Brooklyn, NY, and LaVern Brown, Hollywood, SC. Family 
will be receiving friends at the residence of Ms. Jestine Criswell, 
206 Terry Street, Ladson, SC and Mr. Christopher Gadsden, 704 Canary 
Drive, Charleston, SC. Funeral notice later. Arrangements by WALKER'S 
MORTUARY "Chapel of Peace" 3407 Old Pond Road, John's Island, SC.

The relatives and friends of Mr. Peter Gadsden and those of his 
daughter, Annette Gadsden, granddaughter, Malika Gadsden, common law 
wife, Mrs. Jestine Criswell, brothers, Edward Gadsden, Moses Gadsden, 
Michael Gadsden, Wesley Gadsden, Jr., and Christopher Gadsden, sisters,
Martha Locklear, Margie Magwood, and LaVern Brown, nieces, nephews, 
aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends are invited to 
attend his funeral services, Saturday, October 27, 2001, 2 p.m., at 
St. Stephen AME Church, 2840 Maybank Highway, John's Island, S.C. 
Interment, Church Cemetery. Rev. A.J. Blake, officiating. Remains 
will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the hour
of service. Remains to the church this evening (Friday) at 6:30 p.m.,
where the family will be receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
