The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Ravenwood Baptist Church, 3534 Raven Hill, Columbia, SC 29204 or First Baptist Church G.I.F.T., 104 E. Home Ave., Hartsville, SC. Mr. Floyd died Tuesday, October 23, 2001. He was married for 58 years to the late Myrtis Hutto Floyd of Blackville. Born in Conway, SC, he was a son of the late William Harvey and Flora B. Richardson Floyd, Sr. He enjoyed a more than 30 year career in the furniture industry with Maxwell Brothers Stores and Heilig-Meyers. He was a member and deacon at Ravenwood Baptist Church and was an accomplished craftsman and woodworker. Surviving are his sons and daughter-in-law, Anthony R. and Jacquelyn Hoffman Floyd, Jr. of Hartsville, SC; J. Daniel Floyd of Mt. Pleasant, SC; brothers, Rev. Herbert Floyd and Rev. Hubert Floyd; sisters, Bernice Floyd Darnell and Margaret Floyd Thomas; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Rev.
