He was born October 9, 1929, in Pittsboro, NC to Edgar Worth Ellington and Ethel Wright Ellington. Mr. Ellington graduated from the High School of Charleston in 1949 and attended The Citadel. He served in the Korean War as and was a member of the Mark W. Clark American Legion Post #10. He was a member of the Col. Lewis Sunday School Class at Bethel United Methodist Church. He retired after many years in the electrical supply business. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gilmore Wright Ellington. He is survived by his brother Edgar Worth Ellington of Kingsport, TN, twin brother James Roland Ellington of Vacaville, CA and his sister Mary Ethel Tatum of Winston-Salem, and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service and burial was held on September 12 at Brown's Chapel Methodist Church in Pittsboro, NC. A memorial service will be held at Bethel United Methodist Church in Charleston, SC on October 25 at 3:00 PM. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Charleston, 3896 Leeds Ave., N.
