David Witfield and Rev. Clem Briggs. Burial will be in Summerville Cemetery. Friends may call at Parks Funeral Home, Summerville, S.C., Sunday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Mr. Davis was born June 5, 1944, in Dothan, Ala., a son of the late James Ellis Davis and the late Foy Dee Miller Davis. He was a self-employed certified welder. He attended Deliverance Tabernacle Ministries.Survivors include his close companion, Barbara O. Davis of Summerville, daughter, Dawn (Shellie) Davis of Ladson, step-daughters, Sebrina E. McKee of Summerville, and Karen T. Parker of Ridgeville, step-sons, Keith H. Grooms, Mark A. Grooms, and Johnny H. Stallings, all of Summerville, sister, Alma Burbage of Ladson, Verna Scott of North Charleston, Frances Harrell of Webb, Ala., Sara Hobbs and Betty Cochran, both of Dothan, Ala., brothers, Paul Davis of Midland City, Ala., James Davis of Dothan, Ala., and Travis Davis of Bonifay, Fla., 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
