Mrs. Cope was born in Allendale County, July 22, 1945 the daughter of the late Johnny Steed and Inez Steed. She was married to Charles Cope, Jr., a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and a homemaker.Surviving besides her husband are: 2 brothers, Johnny Steed and Jimmy Steed both of Barnwell; 3 sisters, Yuanita Crosby, Kathline Still and Polly Sheapard all of Barnwell.Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the Bethel Baptist Church with burial in the Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the family's residence. Smith-Rhoden Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
