Mrs. Cooper was born in Andrews on April 27, 1925, a daughter of the late Robert Bissell Clemons and Annie Louise Smith Clemons. She graduated from Andrews High School and lived in Andrews all of her life. Mrs. Cooper was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Anna-Hannah Circle of the United Methodist Women. Surviving are her husband, Spivey C. Cooper of Andrews; two daughters, Pamela C. Brett and Deborah C. Watford both of Andrews; two brothers, F. Ervin Clemons and Robert B. Clemons, Jr. both of Andrews; three sisters, Suzy C. Gilmer of Pawley's Island and Roberta C. Tisdale and Emma C. Davis, both of Andrews; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cooper was predeceased by a son, Gregory S. Cooper. Funeral services will be Saturday morning, October 6, 2001, at 11:00 o'clock in Trinity United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Steven M. Todd, the Rev. Paul Miles, and the Rev. Billy Rufus. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery under the direction of the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home.
