Mrs. Colson was born July 21, 1945, in Charleston, SC, a daughter of William Franklin Coltrane and Kathline Johnson Coltrane. She was a graduate of Rivers High School and a member of James Island Presbyterian Church. She was Vice President of the SC Association of the Deaf, National Board member of the National Association of the Deaf-Interpreter Section, Past President of SC Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, member of the Low Country Chapter of SC Association of the Deaf, Member of Children of Deaf Adults, International. She is survived by her mother, one daughter, Alisha Dawn Norris of Summerville, SC, one son, Edward Randolph Colson of Charleston, SC, two sisters, Libby C. Sandy of Cincinnati, Ohio, Karin C. Burwinkel of Blanchester, Ohio, one brother, Bob Coltrane of Cincinnati, Ohio, five grandchildren, Joshua A. Colson, Alicia Ann Colson, Zachary M. Norris, Kayla M. Norris, and Miranda S. Colson.
