Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 6, 2001 at 11 AM at MILLER-RIVERS-CAULDER Funeral Home Chapel in Chesterfield, SC. Entombment at Carolina Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, North Charleston. Mr. Clanton was born in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Frank Morris and Blanch Perdue Clanton. He was retired Owner and Operator of Jedburg Auto Salvage. Mr. Clanton was a retired Senior Chief Master Sergeant with the U.S. Airforce with 30 years of service, having served in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He was a member of Oakbrook Baptist Church and was married to the late Margie Gardner Clanton. Preceded in death by a niece Tammy Kirkley. Surviving are 1 son, Harold Clanton of Moncks Corner, SC; 2 daughters, Debbie Sutton and husband Rob and husband, Rob and Cindy Rossillo all of Anderson, SC; 3 grandchildren, Ryan Sutton, Shawn Sutton, and Amber Rossillo; 2 sisters, Shirley C. Strawn of Ruby, SC and Linda C. Seamon and husband Earl of Matthews, NC; 3 aunts, Ola P. Morse of Chesterfield, SC, Mary P. Edwards of Mint Hill, NC and Bonnie C. Lane and husband of Red of Charlotte, NC. Family will receive friends at MILLER-RIVERS-CAULDER Funeral Home, Chesterfield, SC on Friday, October 5, 2001 from 7-9 PM.
