Cauthen, 98, of 1000 Live Oak Drive, died Monday, October 22. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, October 25, in Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Kermitt Schrawder officiating. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. DUKES-HARLEY FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Cauthen was born in Sardia, Ga., a daughter of the late Jacob Lawrence Ellison and Ada Barjeron Ellison. She was a retired Public Health Nurse. Mrs. Cauthen was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She was the widow of James C. "Cutie" Cauthen. Survivors include, step-daughter, Mrs. Nelle C. Bundrick, Aiken; sister, Mrs. George (Clara) Hinnant, Sumter; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Shirley C. Cauthen, Georgetown; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to The Methodist Oaks, P.O. Box 9005, Orangeburg, S.C. 29116.
