Browder, 91, of St. Stephen, S.C., a retired farmer, died Wednesday at his residence. The funeral will be at 11 a.m., Saturday morning, October 27, 2001, in the Oak Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, Macedonia. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, St. Stephen. Friends may call at the ST. STEPHEN CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. this Friday evening. Mr. Browder was born November 10, 1909, in Shulerville, S.C., a son of Wesley Browder and Virginia White Browder Shuler. He is the widower of Cathleen Driggers Browder. He served on the Berkeley County ASC for 30 years. He was formerly a member of Oak Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church for over 40 years. He was a member of Gilead Baptist Church. Surviving are, a daughter, Shelby Browder Wadford of St. Stephen; one son, L. Emmett Browder of St. Stephen; seven sisters, Mary B. Marshall , Glennie S. Basha, and Janie S. Wiles, all of Jamestown, Marie Lewis of Macedonia, Mary B. Casselman of Bartow, Fla., BeBe B. Durden of Ashville, N.C., and Esther B. Thoams of McCleny, Fla.; two brothers, Charles W. Browder of Wachula, Fla., and Jack Browder of Tampa, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
