morning, October 6, 2001 at a local hospital. She is the beloved mother
of Authur Lee Backman (Gloria), Robert McNeil, Buster Walker (Evelina),
Virginia McDaniel and Louise Prioleau (George, Sr.), sister of William 
Backman (Carolyn), grandmother of Claude Backman (Chilian), special 
friend of Albertha Bennett. Late residence 1199 Landsdowne Drive,

The relatives and friends of Ms. Julie Backman and those of her son, 
Authur Lee Backman, Sr. (Gloria), her brothers and sisters, William 
Backman (Carolyn), Robert McNeil, Buster Walker (Evelina), the late 
Virginia McDaniel (Clarence), and Louise Prioleau (George, Sr.), 
grand, Claude Backman (Chilian), nieces, nephews, cousins, other 
relatives, special friend, Albertha Bennett and other friends are 
invited to attend her funeral services, Thursday, October 11, 2001, 
2 p.m., at James Presbyterian Church, USA, 1314 Secessionville Road, 
James Island, S.C. Rev. Dr. Charles Heyward, officiating. Interment, 
Stem Point Cemetery. Remains will lie in state at the church on 
Thursday from 1 p.m. until the hour of service. Remains to the church 
this evening (Wednesday) at 6:30 p.m. where the family will be 
receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Arrangements by WALKER'S MORTUARY
