Memorial service is 2 p.m., Monday, October 29, at Hankins & Whittington Dilworth Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.Mr. Avant was born December 31, 1962, in Walterboro, S.C., son of F.W. Avant of Cross Hill, S.C., and Naomi Ridge of Bamberg, S.C.Mr. Avant was born December 31, 1962, in Walterboro, S.C., son of F.W. Avant of Cross Hill, S.C., and Naomi Ridge of Bamberg, S.C.Mr. Avant was a graduate of R.B. Stall High School in Charleston, S.C., and Winthrop College and a member of the National Guard. Todd was the owner and operator of A Dry Cleaners. He attended Forest Hill Presbyterian Church. Todd was a devoted husband, and son, and was loved by his friends and family.Survivors in addition to his parents, include his wife Sheila Wilson Avant, of Charlotte, sister, Teresa Brady of Greenville, S.C.; brother-in-law, John Brady, niece, Mary Katelyn Brady, and nephew, Brooks Brady, all of Greenville, S.C.Memorials may be made to Only by Grace, c/o Forest Hill Presbyterian Church, 7224 Park Road, Charlotte, N.C. 28210.
