Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Thursday, at Lamar United Methodist Church. Interment for the family will follow in Lamar Cemetery directed by BELK FUNERAL HOME, LAMAR CHAPEL. Mrs. Amerson, wife of Curtis D. Amerson, was born in Darlington County the daughter of the late Edward and Elma Hudson Hendrix. She retired as a lab technician for DuPont. Mrs. Amerson was a member of Lamar United Methodist Church and the Fellowship Sunday School Class and Bessie Jeffords Circle of the church. Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are two daughters, Linda Isgett of Lamar and Effie Amerson of Mt. Pleasant; a son, Curtis D. Amerson, Jr., of Lamar; five granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Jackie McFarland of Fountain Inn; and three special nieces, Patsy Grooms of Alma, Ga., Frances Holloman of Darlington, and Brenda Forkasdi of Lamar. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Lamar United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 555, Lamar, S.C. 29069.
