USAF), 63, died Thursday at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday at the Chapel of the FRED PARKER FUNERAL HOME, conducted by Rev. Patsy Brown. Interment will be in Fox Cemetery. Mr. Simmons was born Feb. 13, 1937 in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Younge Simmons and Eleanor Philippi Simmons. He was a member of Gospel Tabernacle of Apostolic Faith and former member of the V.F.W. He was a retired Long Distance Truck Driver and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam. Surviving are: His wife, Wanda Greer Simmons, four sons, David Simmons and Timothy Simmons both of Michigan, Bryant Moore of Reevesville and Dennis Skipper of Delville, Al, seven daughters, Kathy Simmons, Pam Dionne, Julie Wilson and Heather Simmons all of Michigan, Angela Moore and Toni Moore both of Cottageville and Vivian Wilson of Dalville, Al, two brothers, James H.Simmons of South Brunswick, NC and Paul H. Simmons of Mt. Pleasant, fourteen grandchildren and a great grandchild.
