Rev. Ed Stokes will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 17, 2001, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 411, Camden, S.C. 29020. Mrs. Evans, widow of Lloyd Samuel Evans, Sr., died Tuesday, May 15, 2001. Born in Winston Salem, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Richard and Ida Willard Tucker. She was retired from Hanes in Winston Salem and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Sue Evans Neiman of Lewisville, N.C., and Tana Griffin of Winston Salem, N.C.; two sons, L. Samuel Evans, Sr., of Freeport, Fla., and Hank Evans of Summerville, S.C.; 13 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Alice Taylor of East Bend, N.C., and Lula Baldwin of Winston Salem, S.C.
