Mr. Silverman was born October 23, 1968, in Charleston, S.C., the son of Leonard Silverman and Chana Yaschik. He was a member of Brith Sholom Beth Israel Synagogue. He was an administrative assistant in the Sports Information Department with the College of Charleston. He is survived by his mother, Chana Yaschik of Spring Valley, New York; his father and step-mother, Leonard and Gail Silverman of Charleston, S.C.; a brother, Keith Silverman of Charleston, S.C.
