The family will receive friends beginning at 6 tonight in El Shaddai Missionary Baptist Church, North Charleston, with wake services from 7 to 8. The body will repose in the sanctuary from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the church with burial in Wilkerson Cemetery, Early Branch. Mrs. Mitchell was born May 5, 1942, in Hampton County, a daughter of William Walker Sr. and Mable Barnwell Walker. She was a graduate of the former North District Training School, Varnville. For several years she lived in New York City and relocated to Charleston in 1968. She was a machine operator with RM Industries of Charleston. She was a member of El Shaddai Missionary Baptist Church, North Charleston. Surviving are her husband, Edward Mitchell of North Charleston; a son, Minister Ronnie Walker of Charleston; a stepson, Kevin Collier Sr. of Charleston; three brothers, William Walker Jr. of Charleston, Edward Walker and Robert Walker of Maryland; and four grandchildren.
