Dr. L. Wayne Bryan, her son-in-law, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Senior Adult Ministry of First Baptist Church, 300 S. Irby St., Florence, S.C. 29501. Mrs. Parrott died Friday, May 18, 2001, at home following a long illness. She was born in Mullins, S.C., the eldest daughter of the late John William Fowler, Sr., and Mittie Pender Fowler. She was married to the late Ralph Emerson Parrott. She was a graduate of Winthrop College and taught school in Springfield, Olanta, Timmonsville and Florence District One for many years. Mrs. Parrott was a member of the First Baptist Church in Florence for well over 50 years, where she taught primary and adult Sunday School, worked with Mission Friends, was a Vacation Bible School leader, was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class and the Lide Circle. She was also active in the Senior Adult Ministry and was a supporter of the music ministry and the youth ministry. Mrs. Parrott was a former secretary of the Retired Teachers Association and a member of the Mental Health Association. Survivors include one son, Bill (Lynn) Parrott of Florence, and two daughters, Mimi Parrott (Wayne Bryan) of Columbia and Joy (Ronnie) Chandler of Florence; four brothers, Paul (Doris) Fowler, John Fowler and Fred (Ann) Fowler, all of Mullins, and Dan Fowler of Fayette, Ga. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Julia (Brian) Hickman, Bryan (Melissa) Parrott, Sara Bryan (Jaffe LeTourneau), Austin (Sue) Bryan, Emerson (Kim) Beasley and Gerald Beasley and two great grandchildren, Alex Marie Hickman and Robby LeTourneau. She was predeceased by two sisters, Joyce Fowler and Grace Fowler and one brother, Joseph "J.C." Fowler and one grandson, Andrew Bryan. Pallbearers will be nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
