O'Quinn John F. O'Quinn, of Beaufort, widower of Edna Irene Pelham O'Quinn, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at his residence. Anderson Funeral Home is in charge. (Beaufort Gazette May 16, 2001) John Franklin O'Quinn John Franklin O'Quinn, 81, of Beaufort widower of Edna I. Pelham O'Quinn died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at his residence. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. O'Quinn was born May 23, 1919, at the Hunting Island Lighthouse. He was a son of Henry Manley O'Quinn, Hunting Island Lighthousekeeper and Frances O'Quinn. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Pacific Theatre during World War II and he was a self-employed farmer and boat builder. He was also a master mechanic. Surviving are four sons, Thomas D. O'Quinn and Jackie L. O'Quinn of Beaufort, Everette H. O'Quinn and John Earl O'Quinn of Coosaw Island; two daughters, Barbara Ann O'Quinn of Beaufort and Lorraine O. Lattimore of Myrtle Beach; two brothers, Blease O'Quinn of Walterboro and Perry O'Quinn of Seabrook; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
