Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church cemetery in Richburg. Mr. McMiller, 81, died Sunday, May 20, 2001, at Mercy Hospital in Charlotte. Born in Kershaw County on June 15, 1919, he was the son of the late Earl and Addie Smith Miller. He was married to the late Kathleen Jordan McMiller. He is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. Lizzie M. Goode and her husband, Gerona; Mrs. Willie C. Bailey, Mrs. Addie R. Boyce and her husband, Noah; Evelyn Straite, Mrs. Doris Clinkscales and her husband, Bernard; Mrs. Virginia Godfrey (James), and Janice McMiller Harris, all of Charlotte; five sons, James McMiller, Calvin McMiller and his wife, Shirley; John McMiller and his wife, Louise; Bennie McMiller and Terry McMiller and his wife, Irish; all of Charlotte; four sisters, Janie Talford of Charlotte, Mary Hayes, Lillie Crome and Elizabeth Cureton, all of Rock Hill; three brothers, Grady McMiller of Gastonia, George Miller of Winnsboro and Nathaniel Miller of Rock Hill; 42 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; eight sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; a godson, James H. Miller (Ella) and a goddaughter, Gail McVay.
