Dearborn United Methodist Church. The Rev. Tony Medlin and the Rev. Darrell Twitty officiated and burial followed in Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Brown, 58, died Friday, May 11, 2001, at Carolinas Medical Center. Born in Dayton, Ohio, on April 23, 1943, he was a son of the late Wilson Frank Brown and Dorothy Mae Wagner Brown. A graduate of Stivers High School in Dayton, he was a member of Mt. Dearborn United Methodist Church and was retired from GM Nameplate Manufacturing Co.Survivors include his wife, Mary “ Micki” Roddey Brown; two sons, Chip Edwards of Summerville and Jeff Edwards of Heath Springs; a daughter, Shannon Edwards of Great Falls; three sisters, Phyllis McKeehen and Joyce Bailey, both of Xenia, Ohio, and Susie Maiden of Saganaw, Texas; and two granddaughters, Miranda Kimbrell and Channing Edwards. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lancaster, 800 West Meeting St., Lancaster, SC 29720.
