Berry, 84, of Azalea Patch Road, died Saturday at a Walterboro hospital. Mr. Berry was born in Colleton County and was the son of Thomas Hamilton and Eliza Crosby Berry. He was retired from Dupont at the Savannah River Plant. Mr. Berry was a member of Tabor United Methodist Church and a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army in the European Theatre. He was twice married, first, to the late Connie Bladen Berry and presently to Mrs. Inez Dewitt Berry. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, at 11 a.m., at the Chapel of the FRED PARKER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Edward Stiltz in charge. Interment will be held at Tabor United Methodist Cemetery. The visitation will be held at the Fred Parker Funeral Home from 6 until 8 p.m., Monday. Surviving are, his wife, one son, Clarence Dewitt, Summerville; five step-daughters, Gennie Matthews, Forrest Hill, Cal, Peggie Standridge, Hyattsville, Md., Ann Newman, San Diego, Calif., Jackie DeGrippo, Jacksonville, Fla., and Mazie D.
