SCHULZ, Gary Entered into eternal rest the evening of May 16, 2001, Chief Warrant Officer 
Gary I. Schulz, U.S. Navy (Ret.), husband of Hyon Sik Schulz. Residence, Charleston, S.C. 
The relatives and friends of CWO and Mrs. Gary I. Schulz are invited to attend the funeral 
services of the former in Advent Lutheran Church, Saturday, May 19, 2001, at 11 o'clock. 
Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens with military honors. Friends may call at 
J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTH AREA CHAPEL, 2119 DORCHESTER ROAD, this evening, Friday, May 18, 
2001, from 6 until 8 o'clock. Born Mary 11, 1942, in LeMars, Iowa, Mr. Schulz was the son of 
Ivan O. Schulz and Elvira Utesch Schulz. He was a retired Chief Warrant Officer and served in 
the U.S. Navy as a cryptologist. He was employed by Lancaster Tours and Travel Agency and a 
member of Advent Lutheran Church. Survivors are his wife, Hyon S. Schulz of Charleston; his 
mother, Elvira U. Schulz of LeMars, Iowa; two daughters, Denise L. Schulz of Hickory, N.C., 
and Deborah L. Schulz of Charleston, and a sister, Cheryl Oetken of Merrill, Iowa. Flowers 
will be accepted or memorials may be made to Advent Lutheran Church, 3347 Rivers Ave., North
