BLACKSTON, Fannie Entered into eternal rest Friday, May 18, 2001, Mrs. Fannie Shaffer Blackston 
of Charleston, S.C., widow of G. Wilson Blackston. She was retired from Georgia Regional Medical 
Center and was a member of Flowing Wells Congregational Holiness Church. Funeral services will 
be conducted Tuesday, May 22, 2001, at 2 o'clock, from Elliott Sons Lumpkin Road Chapel, Rev. 
Bobby Renew and Rev. Jesse L. Wiggins, officiating. Interment, Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church 
Cemetery. Family members include a son, Henry Guy Shaffer of Hephzibah, Ga.; a daughter, Carol 
Carroll of Summerville, S.C.; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. If so desired, 
please make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 2623 Washington Road, 
Augusta, Ga. 30904. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday evening, 
from 7 to 9 p.m. (A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at Stuhr's 
Funeral Home, West Ashley Chapel, Charleston, S.C.) ELLIOTT SONS FUNERAL HOME, 2524 LUMPKIN 
ROAD.
