Mrs. Hewitt was a member of Crosland Memorial Baptist Church, and was the widow of John Calvin Hewitt, Jr. Survivors: 4 daughters, Mrs. Fred (Sandra) Matthews, Santee, SC. , Mrs. Richard (Jonnie) Mitchell, Irmo, SC., Mrs. Gayle H. Oliver, Charleston, SC., Rhonda Hewitt, St. Matthews, SC., 1 son, C. Wayne Hewitt, Orangeburg, SC., 1 sister, Mrs. Frances K. Ashe, Orangeburg, SC., 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
