Souders, 55, died Monday, May 14, 2001, at his home in North Charleston. Born April 18, 1946, in Hamilton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Daniel Souders and Juanita Crank Souders. He was a Baptist. Mr. Souders was retired from the U.S. Navy Submarine Service. After retiring from the Navy, he was employed by Lockheed. Mr. Souders was also employed by Mizzell's Exxon. He was a former member of the Jaycees. He is survived by his wife Brenda; two sons, Scott Souders and his wife Jennifer, Goose Creek, SC and Eric Souders, North Charleston; daughter, Kristina Souders Holsapple and her husband, Kevin, North Charleston; mother, Juanita C. Souders, Harrison, OH; four brothers: TimSouders, Cedar Grove, IN., Jim Souders, West Harrison, IN., Kim Souders, Greendale, IN., and Tom Souders, Harrison, IN; two sisters, Sharon Settle andSusie Univin, both of West Harrison, IN; granddaughter Kayla Souders, North Charleston; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 18, 2001, at 10AM in the chapel of MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 100 S. Goose Creek Blvd. (Hwy. 52), Goose Creek. Interment with military honors will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens, North Charleston. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday, May 17, 2001, at the funeral home.
