The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., Friday prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2001 in Ocean Woods Memorial Cemetery, Myrtle Beach. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., Saturday prior to the burial at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel. Memorials may be made to the National Federation of the Blind or Northside Baptist Church, His Will His Way. Mrs. Phillips, wife of the late Claude L. Phillips, died Wednesday, May 16, 2001. Born in Horry County, she was a daughter of the late William M. and Mollie Spivey James. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church, West Columbia. She was a Registered Nurse and retired from the American Red Cross Blood Services. Mrs. Phillips was a member of AARP and Widowed Person Service Support Group. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Beckie and Danny Cumbee of Elloree,Debbie Fuller of Columbia,Carol and Gary Ensman of Lexington and Patti and Louis Chapman of Chapin; sisters, Bulah Cox of Columbia and Ann Cox of Loris; brother, Wilbur M.
