Albert Shaw, 94, of Sheldon, died Thursday, May 17, 2001, in Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

Albert Shaw
Albert Shaw, 94, of Loris, widower of Carrie Aiken Shaw, died on May 17, 2001, in Beaufort 
Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, 
Sheldon, with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Shaw was born Dec. 9, 1906, in Loris, a son 
son of John and Laura Shaw. He was educated in Loris public schools. He was employed by 
Seaboard Coastline Railroad for many years. He was a faithful member of Canaan Missionary 
Baptist Church where he served on the trustee board. He is preceded in death by three children, 
Richard Stanfield, Feryn Bright and Irving Brown. Surviving are a son, Robert Stanfield; four 
daughters, Beverly Smalls, Beverly Bennette, Felicia Smalls and Henrietta Pierce; 12 
grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Allen Funeral Home is in charge. (May 21, 2001
