Burial will be at Rolling Green Cemetery in West Chester, Penn. Mrs. Gist died Friday, May 11, 2001, at home. A native of Chester County, Mrs. Gist was the daughter of the late Charlie McMullen Sr. and Easter Cousar McMullen. She attended the public schools of Chester County and was a domestic worker. She was a member of Mount Zion AME Zion Church No. 1. Survivors are two sons, Dolan Gist and Robert Gist, both of Philadelphia; two daughters, Donna Gist and Jeane Gist Johnson, both of Philadelphia; two sisters, Leola M. Howze of Catawba and Sarah M. Means of Plainfield, N.J.; her brother, Thomas McMullen of Knoxville, Tenn.; and 10 grandchildren.
