She was a graduate of Piedmont High School in Piedmont, SC. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Dorchester Presbyterian Church, Summerville. Surviving are, husband David Lee Wood of North Charleston; daughter, Mary Ann Baybo of Summerville; grandson, Andrew Baybo of Summerville; granddaughter, Angelina Baybo of Summerville; three sisters, Roy Francis Webb of Greenville, Helon Ayers of Piedmont, Ann Merritt of Easley.
