MANNING - Shelby Davis Weeks, Sr., 88, widower of Doris Frierson Weeks,
died Friday in Goose Creek. Born March 13, 1913, in Manning, he was a 
son of the late John Richard Weeks and the late Anna Bell Holladay 
Weeks. He was retired, and was a W.W.II Air Force veteran, and a member 
of Manning First Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Shelby Davis 
Weeks, Jr., of Summerville; two daughters, Shellie Bell of Goose Creek 
and Lynn Kite of San Antonio, Texas; four sisters, Ethel Millender and 
Rose Lowder of St. Matthews, Sallie Belle Mathis of Bristol, Tenn., and
Lillie Brunson of Greenwood; eight grandchildren. Funeral services will
be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, at STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME IN MANNING. 
Chaplain Shelby Weeks, Jr., will officiate. Burial will follow in 
Summerton Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 
to 8 p.m., Saturday, in STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME IN MANNING. Memorials 
may be made to Palmetto Health Hospice, P.O. Box 50820, Summerville,
