Ms. Thelning was born October 16, 1908, in Charleston, S.C., a daughter of Victor E. Thelning and Kaspara Gurine Christiansen Thelning. She was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America, Ft. Sumter Chapter Life Member Club. She was a graduate of Memminger High School and a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church. Surviving is a niece, Hanna E. Salvo and a nephew, Everett K. Wingate, Jr. The relatives and friends of Hortense Marjorie Thelning are invited to attend her funeral services in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL this Tuesday morning, June 26, 2001, at 10:30. Interment, Bethany Cemetery. Friends may call at Stuhr's Downtown Chapel, this Monday, between 5 and 7 o'clock.
