HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, Friday evening from 5 until 7 o'clock. Mr. Thackeray was born in Charleston, S.C., the son of John Robert Thackeray and Georgia Maree Thackeray. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. He attended Murray Vocational School. He was a retired athletic director with the City of Charleston. He was also retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard where he worked in the data processing department. Surviving are his wife, Ruby Floyd Thackeray of Charleston, S.C.; one son, Ronnie Thackeray of Charleston, S.C.; two sisters, Rosalie T. Turner and Lillian T. Milner, both of Charleston, S.C.; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Lutheran Hospice, 753 Johnnie Dodds Blvd., Suite #100, Mt.
