Graveside Funeral Services with military honors will be held at Summerville Cemetery, Monday afternoon, June 18, 2001, at 1:30 o'clock. Friends may call at PARKS FUNERAL HOME, SUMMERVILLE, S.C., on Sunday evening, from 6 to 8 p.m. Mr. Stapleton was born April 16, 1916, in Bulloch, Ga., a son of Dr. Carlos E. Stapleton and Leola Lee Stapleton. He was a retired U.S. Marine Corps Master Drill Sgt. He was a member of Knightsville United Methodist Church. His survivors include his wife of Summerville, daughters, Paula S. Capracotta of Summerville and Pamela S. Songer of Charlotte, sister, Wendell S. O'Million of Savannah, two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Knightsville United Methodist Church Bldg.
