Mrs. Spillane was predeceased by her husband, John Anthony Spillane and son, John Edward Spillane, and brothers, Omer A. Daudet and Lysander F. Daudet. Mrs. Spillane was born in Midway, Pa., on May 25, 2001, beloved daughter of the late Frank P. Daudet and the late Olive A. Wheeler Daudet. Mrs. Spillane was a graduate of Penn State and California Normal Teacher's College (presently the University of California, Pa.) and taught 35 years in the Pennsylvania School System; Smith Township, Chartiers Houston Township and Peters Township. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church on James Island, S.C., and formerly a member of St. Patricks Roman Catholic Church in Canonsburg, Pa. She was a volunteer at St. Clair Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa., and was also a member of the Monday Evening Professional Woman's Club in Canonsburg, Pa. Her favorite pastime was playing party and duplicate bridge. Surviving are her daughter, Patricia Topper Robertson of Seabrook Island, S.C.; one sister, Katherine Schilling of Wexford, Pa.; four grandchildren, Dr. Steven Topper of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Amy Babbitt Atkinson of Taylors, S.C.; Pamela Gorman of Cary, N.C.; and Douglas Topper of Pompano Beach, Fla.; nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at 4 o'clock, in Bethany United Methodist Church, 1853 Maybank Highway, James Island, S.C.
