Nelson, died Sunday, June 10, 2001, in the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston. The family will be at the home of her mother, 7413 Highway 25 N., Hodges, and will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Parker-White Funeral Home, Ware Shoals. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Ware Shoals Church of God. Mrs. Nelson was born Jan. 7, 1946, in Greenwood County, a daughter of Willie Mae Hall and Edward Charles Attaway. She was retired from Clemson University Extension and had been employed by the U.S. Postal Service, S.C. Electric and Gas and Duke Power Co. She had been assistant to the administrator of Beaufort County Council and administrative assistant at S.C. National Bank. She was an active member of Beaufort Christian Women's Club and a member of Sheldon Baptist Church.
