The Rev. Chip Sneed officiated and burial followed in Old Purity Cemetery. Mrs. Shealy, 79, died Friday, June 15, 2001, at Chester County Hospital. Born in Chester on Jan. 2, 1922, she was a daughter of the late John Green Mobley and Ada Belle Weaver Mobley. A graduate of Chester High School, she was a retired sales clerk from Belk’s Department Store and was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Women’s Circle. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Kathy Ruppe of Cosby, Tenn.; a grandson, Nicholas Pieroni of Chester; two sisters, Frankie Taylor of Chester and Edna Lewis of Great Falls and a brother, Ralph Mobley of Norway, S.C. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert A. Shealy. Memorials may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, 651 Great Falls Highway, Chester, S.C. 29706.
