Scheets are invited to attend the graveside funeral services of the former in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, S.C., Tuesday morning, June 26, 2001, at 11 o'clock. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL, Monday evening, June 25, 2001, between 5 and 7 o'clock. Mr. Scheets was born on September 11, 1934, in Cabool, Mo., a son of the late Fern Scheets and Esther Crossland Scheets. He served in the United States Army, was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a retired welder and former owner and operator of Scheets Construction Company. Surviving are his wife of North Charleston, S.C.; one son, Jack Ray Scheets of Charleston, S.C.; one daughter, Jill Janene Scheets of Charleston, S.C.; and one sister, Evelyn Covert of Missouri.
