Small and Effie Jane Smalls Small. He was a self-employed welder and a Baptist. Surviving are a son, Robert Rodger Small of Charleston, S.C.; a daughter, Pamela Jean Small of Deltona, Fla.; six brother, Kenneth E. Small of Goose Creek, S.C., Ricky L. Small and Danny Ray Small, both of Johns Island, S.C., Michael D. Small and Joseph L. Small, both of Atlanta, Ga., Eldon L. Small of Woodstock, Ga.; three sisters, Wanda Branton of Summerville, S.C., Linda Thompson of Simpsonville, S.C., and Brenda Springer of Bluffton, Ind., and four grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Charleston County Unit, 267 Calhoun St., Charleston, S.C. 29401.
