Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Langdale was born in Colleton County on July 14, 1938, a son of Henry Albert Langdale and Leila Ponds Langdale. He was a member of the South Carolina National Guard and the Army Reserve. He was a supervisor in the transportaion department of Horry County School District and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. Surviving are a son, Randall M. Langdale II of Ridgeland; three daughters, Renae Nettles of Walterboro; and Jennifer Poovey and Holly Mixson of Ridgeland; a step-daughter, Susan Herring of Conway; a brother, Harold Langdale of Pinewood; three sisters, Lucille Nettles of Walterboro, Mary Martin of Pinewood, and Valerie Crawford of Conway; and eight grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be made to the hospice foundation of one's choice.
