The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at Temple Emanuel with Rabbi Fred Guttman officiating. Burial will follow in the Hebrew Cemetery. A native of Asheville, N.C., she was founder and coordinator of the Friendship Circle Senior Adult Group at Temple Emanuel until 1995. She was well-known for her lifelong involvement in social work. She was a wonderful and supportive wife and mother, and was a very dedicated servant to the community. She was a member of Temple Emanuel. She is survived by her son, David Ricketts of Stokesdale, N.C., twin daughters, Judy Baker of Gibsonville and Joan Johnson of Hendersonville, N.C.; brother, Herbert Goldberg of Charleston, S.C.; six grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Friendship Circle, in care of Temple Emanuel, 713 N. Greene St., Greensboro, N.C. 27401.
