Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Wednesday, from Cox-Collins Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Eddie Baker Officiatihg. Interment will follow I Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Cottingham was born January 10,1961, in Orlando. Fla., a son of Robert Rogers (Joe) Cottingham and Frankie Ard Cottingham. He was a machinist and was a member of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Persian Gulf War. Surviving are his parents, Joe (Bob) Cottingham and Frankie Ard Cottingham of Lynchburg, Va.; his wife, Sharon Jackson Cottingham of Spout Springs, Va.; two daughters, Amber Rae Cottingham of Timmonsville and Ashton Nicole Cottingham of Spout Springs, Va.; a sister, Margaret Ann C. Morgan of Goose Creek; two step-children, Justin Rothgeb and Seth Rothgeb, both of Appomattox, Va.; four nephews, Brandon Morgan, Bryce Morgan, and Brooks Morgan, all of Goose Creek, and Daniel Morgan of Arlington, Texas. Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., Tuesday evening at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
