PLEASANT - Alma Davis Nunnally, 94, widow of James Glenn Nunnally, died Saturday, June 16, 2001, in a Mt. Pleasant, S.C., hospital. Born in Birmingham, Ala., she was the daughter of the late John Edward Davis and the late Emma Louise Brown Davis. Mrs. Nunnally graduated from Winthrop College in 1927 and received a masters degree from the University of South Carolina. She was a retired school teacher, who taught at McLaurin Junior High, and Alice Drive School for 35 years. Mrs. Nunnally was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Alma Louise "Sis" Nunnally of Isle of Palms, S.C.; one sister, Evelyn Seckinger of St. Matthews, S.C. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, in the Trinity United Methodist Church Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Robert E. Stillwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Sumter Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 1140 S. Guignard Dr., Sumter, S.C. 29150.
