Born Norma Elizabeth, daughter of Maude and Ryan Brunson (deceased) of Allendale, S.C., she graduated from Allendale High School as Valedictorian, and subsequently from Winthrop College with a B.S. in biology and chemistry. She retired from Moncrief Hospital, Ft. Jackson, S.C., after 32 years as a histopathologist. She is survived by her daughter, Tanya Brunson Coker of Tiger, Ga.; her sister, Mae Brunson Keating and husband, Donald, of Chapin, S.C.; her brothers, Joseph Ryan Brunson, and Carl Locklin Brunson and wife, Phyllis, of Allendale, S.C. and three nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, at Smithfield Cemetery on Terry Road in Barton, S.C. Visitation will be at the home of Carl Brunson on Terry Road immediately following the service.
