Cobb, died Friday, June 8, 2001, at her home. Born in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Eugene Lowder and the late Nettie Harrington Lowder. Mrs. Cobb was a lifelong member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, the Euzelean Sunday School Class and Circle #4. She served as a Church Historian, was the Centennial Chairperson for St. Mark's, the Nursery Coordinator and was a member of the Pastor-Parish Committee. She was a retired secretary at Becton- Dickinson. Surviving are her husband of Sumter; a brother, Ronny Lee Lowder of Sumter; a sister, Betty Jho Adams of Charleston; three nieces, Cynthia L. Robertson, Ashley L. Bateman Allyson Lowder; and a god-child, Angie Solomon Hodge. She was preceded in death by a sister, Bessie Irene Lowder and a brother, Bobby Joseph Lowder. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, with Rev. Bruce Sayre officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be George Harrington , Winston Hodge, Stanley Hodge, Keith Brown, Ralph Holliday, and Lewis Brown. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Euzelean Sunday School Class and Circle #4 of St. Mark's United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, at the Elmore- Hill-McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home.
