McInerny, 94, of Sullivan's Island, died on June 15 at a local hospital. He was born on March 18, 1907, on Sullivan's Island, a son of the late Joseph P. and Caroline Hammerschmidt McInerny. A member of Stella Maris Church, he graduated in 1925 from Bishop England High School. In 1929, he graduated from the College of Charleston. His wife, the former Marion Andrews, and his daughter, Marian (Cissi) Sorlie, preceded him in death. Surviving are, two daughters, Caroline Karlin of Englewood, Colo., and Mary Ann McInerny of Bethesda, Md.; two sons, William Patrick McInerny, Jr., of Boulder, Colo., and Joseph C.
