Ellie Allen McGlothlin, 81, of Charleston, husband of Jean Hinkle 
McGlothlin, died Sunday, June 24, 2001. He was born, Wednesday, 
December 31, 1919, in Luling, Texas, the son of Fred and Bessie 
Rutherford McGlothlin. Mr. McGlothlin was a retired Chief Bosons Mate 
with the U.S. Navy and also was retired from the U.S. Naval Supply 
Center here in Charleston. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 
years, three sons, Lee McGlothlin of Texas, Eugene McGlothlin of 
California and Michael McGlothlin, also from Texas, and ten 
grandchildren. Interment services will be held at a later date in 
Pennsylvania. Arrangements by JAMES A. MCALISTER FUNERAL HOME, 1620 
SAVANNAH HWY., 766-1365.    (The Post and Courier June 25, 2001)
