TITLE: Frank William Marlow SOURCE: The Post and Courier, June 14, 2001 SUBMITTED: The Post and Courier FORMATTED: Kim Grissom, June 2001 *********************************************************************************************** PAWLEY'S ISLAND-Frank William Marlow, 77, died Tuesday, June 12, 2001 at a local Hospital in Georgetown. Mr. Marlow was born at Pawley's Island on June 24, 1923, a son of the late Harry LeeMarlow and Ida Mae Miller Marlow. He was a graduate of Winyah High School in Georgetown and a life-long resident of Pawley's Island. Mr. Marlow served in the Navy during World War II in the South Pacific. He was the owner and operator of Marlow's, a general mercantile store at Pawley's Island, until his retirement in 1988. Mr. Marlow was a communicant of All Saints Church, Waccawmaw and a member of Pawley's Island Lodge No.409, A.F.M. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to chat with people. Surviving are: his wife, Fay Rials Marlow of Pawley's Island, and a daughter, Leslie GailMarlow Inman and her husband, Marvin Duane Inman of Magnolia, Ark. Memorial services will be Friday morning, June 15, 2001 at eleven o'clock at the graveside in All Saints Church, Waccawmaw, Churchyard. Officiating will be the Rev. Manney C. Reid and the Rev. David C. Bryan. Inurnment will follow under the direction of THE GEORGETOWN CHAPEL OF MAYER FUNERAL HOME. A Reception will be held at Frank's Restaurant at Pawley's Island immediately following the memorial service.
