TITLE: Robert Emmitt Love, Jr SOURCE: The Westminster News June 20, 2001 SUBMITTED BY: The Westminster News FORMATTED BY: Kim Grissom, August 2001 *********************************************************************** Walhalla - Robert Emmitt "Bob" Love, Jr., 80, of 312 Essex Ridge Court, Spartanburg, and a former resident of Walhalla, died Friday, June 15, 2001, at the Mary Black Hospital in Spartanburg. A native of Clover, he was a graduate of Davidson College and served as the Food Stamp Supervisor for the OconeeCounty Department of Social Services until his retirement. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church and a former member and ruling elder of Walhalla Presbyterian Church. He was a lifetime member of the Walhalla Volunteer Fire Department, Rotary International, and the Alpine Masonic Lodge in Clover, and was a member of the Keowee-Toxaway Amateur Radio Club. He was the widower of Norma Keels Humphries Love, and the son of the late Robert Emmitt and Emma Sledge Love. Surviving are a son, Robert Maxwell Love of Simpsonville; a daughter, Sue Love Boulware of Rock Hill; and three grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Elizabeth Love Thraikill. Memorial services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday from Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church, Roebuck. Davenport Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt.
