Farr, residence, Johns Island, S.C. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Farr are invited to attend her funeral services, Monday, June 11, 2001, at 2 o'clock, in Faith Lutheran Church on Johns Island. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Sunday evening between 6 and 8 o'clock. Mrs. Farr was born March 5, 1922, in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of Chester William Bockstedt and Hazel Meyer Bockstedt. She was a former choir director and financial secretary and charter member of Faith Lutheran Church. She worked on Angel Tree and Rural Missions with Social Ministry. She worked at the Charleston Army Depot and was a retired clerk and typist with the Charleston Air Force Base. She is survived by her husband of 58 years; one daughter, Lois J. Gough of Richardson, Texas; one son, James R. Farr of Cottageville, S.C.; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren; three brothers, Chester W. Bockstedt, Jr., of Buffalo, N.Y., Russell Earl Bockstedt of Eden Prairie, Minn., Paul Curtis Lee Bockstedt of Fairborn, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Shirley K. Farr, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Jerry Boyd Farr, who was killed on the U.S.S. Stark in the Persian Gulf.
